Redesign of Farmville Virginia's logo. Using the iconic structure of the "Welcome to Historic Farmville" arch in the logo informs the viewer of the precise location. The sign serves as a way to welcome people to the area, which was the goal of my word mark.
The promotional posters for Farmville. Three posters that illustrate aspects that make Farmville special. History tells the story of the civil rights activist, Barbara Rose Johns, and how she fought for hers and others rights to receive education. Entertainment focuses on the live music from local bands, and the theatrical performances found at waterworks players and the local schools. Market brings attention to the people in Farmville who make their own food, art, and other items, to be sold at places like the Heart of Virginia Festival and the Farmer's Market.
The Farmville walking map provides notable places around Farmville that people aren't made aware of when they first visit. The back provides testimonies from other students in order to promote more popular places on the map.
The brochure of Farmville would provide more information on the history of the area. Farmville has a rich history from the Civil War, and Civil Rights movements, all the way to multiple great fires that burned most of the town. Information will also be provided on evens and places to eat and visit in the area. Tourists and new students will find many places that will set Farmville apart from other small towns.
Postcards will promote a traditional means of writing, fitting into Farmville's historical spirit. They can be used as a means to promote it's historic landmarks, or as a way to remember a trip through the area.
